THE Trip, Canyonlands National Park, The Island in the Sky District, Part 2

CABS for Reflections From the Fence

So much beauty, so difficult deciding which photos to share.  Oh, it is a rough job, but, someone has to do it! Man and I continue our driving tour of Canyonlands National Park, the Island in the Sky District:

Our next stop on our drive was at Green River Overlook.  The elevation here is about 6,000 feet and the Green River can be seen from here.  Not too far from here the Green River will join the Colorado River.  If you look hard, in the middle of this photo you can see the Green River.

Below, Several other gorgeous views driving along in the Island District.

Soon we would stop at Grand View Point, elevation 6080 feet, where we can see the La Sal Mountains, Monument Basin and views to die for:

Zoom in a bit, courtesy of Sony:

When I look at these photos I keep thinking, it would be so wonderful to have a way to share these with you in 3D.  Standard photography just doesn't share with you the true experience, the awe, the WOW.

This calls for a panoramic, don't you think?

One last photo today:

Next we shall stop at Buck Canyon and hike to Mesa Arch, stunning, REALLY stunning!

Really breathtaking Carol! You must have taken good notes too, to have all the names of places and elevations! Would like to know your routine for keeping track of photographs and information on each while on the road!
